Message "An error Occurred"
Dennis
Anonymous
Good Evening,
After I've installed the current version of geeklog, I always got the message "An Error Occurred" in many of the pages I like to open. The main-page works fine, but the pages "above" (/admin, /calender) not. I follow the installation guide step by step und don't understand what I've done wrong. :kickcan:
Perhaps someone can help me, cause I havn't much experiences with geeklog.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings
Dennis

Did you also upload a new version of your theme? Perhaps you've an older version of the theme, and some /layout/themename/admin/ files are missing/old.

Hello Dirk,
thank you for your reply, but unfortunately I still get the error message.
I added "require_once $_CONF['path'] . 'config.php' ;" in lib-common.php and tried to get a more detailled error message by setting the parameter "$_CONF['rootdebug']" to true (force).
Greetings

I'm going from memory here, but I believe this is what I did a while back when the "An error Occurred" message appeared during an upgrade.
Setting the rootdebug option in config.php didn't expand the error message. However, going into the /admin/install directory, and in success.php setting the rootdebug option to TRUE in that file, then displayed a full error output showing me a couple self-inflicted problems that were easily corrected.
