the url are like this:

http://mysite.com//forum/

http://mysite.com//filemgmt/

and all are like that example

in all the web that creates a // after the domain name...

help me please how can i change this problem, all the site its ok with the functions and all, but i think this problem can generate with the indexation with search engine

the problem was generate when i change the site that was in mysite.com/folder/

then i changed to the principal directory...

can you support this please? in my hosting they said this:

Basically this is the way the CMS is configured. If you wish to make certain customizations, this depends only on yourself.

Go to the configuration of your site, perhaps there is a slash behind the site url?
Dutch Geeklog sites about camping/hiking:
www.kampeerzaken.nl | www.campersite.nl | www.caravans.nl | www.caravans.net

A lot of other pathes in config do have to end with a slash, that should resolve the errors perhaps.

The double slash comes from a slash at the end of "site url" in the config section. Only remove this one slash. If you have more problems, then there are things wrong too.

Actually i just wonder why the new configuration automatic doesn`t check for a possible slash at the end of the input here. This error is quite common.

thank u for your answer, there is a slash in the site url (but just one) in the config.php if i remove it that give´s me an error...

i tried change this

Text Formatted Code
// This should point to the directory where your config.php file resides.
$_CONF['path'] ='/home/www/miweb.com/';

for this
Text Formatted Code
// This should point to the directory where your config.php file resides.
$_CONF['path'] ='/home/www/miweb.com';

and

this
Text Formatted Code
// $_CONF['path_html']      = '/path/to/your/public_html/';
$_CONF['path_html'] ='/home/www/miweb.com/';

for this
Text Formatted Code
// $_CONF['path_html']      = '/path/to/your/public_html/';
$_CONF['path_html'] ='/home/www/miweb.com';

in the /config.php but it give me an error in the lib-common.php and pear and other things...

Obviously the path_html wants a slash at the end.

What other errors do you get? Are you not using GL 1.5.2?

Just to make this clear: Where Geeklog expects a path it should end in a slash. Where it expects a URL it should not end in a slash.

Check all your settings (you mentioned config.php, so check in there) that they follow these two simple rules.

bye, Dirk

During install or upgrade the install page on Optional Configurations is waiting for a Admin Directory Path and No trailing slash. So it is an url Wink

Maybe we could update this.
