If a new user made a registration with openid, there is no email adress store in his account.

Depends on your OpenID provider. Some pass along the email address, some don't, and some let you chose.

Ben, can you try to edit a user without email address? Can you edit his rights and SAVE? I always get the error "Please fill in the Username and Email Address fields", no chance to save.

As a Remote Users, it's pretty much impossible to change anything in the Password & Email tab. This is due to the password check required for those settings (and other unresolved issues there, e.g. what should happen if you change your password?).

I rather meant to edit the user as a User Admin. I just had another case where I had a former root user without an email and I tried to group them e.g. under DEAD or anything like that.

I can`t edit users without an email. Isn`t that a bug or an undiscovered unlogic?

Hmm, that's news to me but probably a related problem.
