I see many crazy things in your gallery, lots of tags like this: {!if album_description} ??

Chase,

I remember you tell us your memory_limit is 48M.
Check it, because you need to set memory_limit (This sets the maximum amount of memory in bytes that a script is allowed to allocate. This helps prevent poorly written scripts for eating up all available memory on a server.) to mini 32M to make the mediagallery plugin work well.

The {!if...} code is for CTL

Talk to your hosting service then. A memory limit of 8 MB is really very low.

bye, Dirk

The memory limit is set in the php.ini file.

That's part of Mark's Mediagallery version 1.6 that was available for a short time and then recalled. It is using the Caching Template Library. If you installed over an existing GL install, you need to make the changes to lib-common.php that came with Mediagallery/CTL.

Or you need to downgrade to the current 1.5.1 mediagallery (supported by Cordiste I think)

man i am glad the host somehow agreed to reset the memory limits.

also about the CLT for MG1.6.1

the instruction says
Text Formatted Code

3)  a) Create a variable in config.php: $_CONF['use_caching_templates']
        and set it to true:

$_CONF['use_caching_templates'] = true;

since config.php does not exist any more.

i just added the line in lib-comman.php
$_CONF['use_caching_templates'] = true;

and it seems to have the tags in MG

thanks for all the feedback guys

Yes, put it in siteconfig.php for Geeklog 1.5 and up. I'll be releasing a new CTL in the future with instructions for newer Geeklog versions and with part of the configuration in the config table.
