unnecessary warnings when installing GL in web root

We have these cases every now and again, that users especially of autoinstalled GL receive warnings they can`t deal with. E.g. http://www.geeklog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=86649
As far as I understand these warnings say that GL has been completely installed in public_html which is not recommended but also does not mean a terrible security problem.
Is it really useful to issue such warnings when we can expect the users not to understand them anyway? Or even if they understand it they won`t be able to handle a propper setup. It may deter potential users just because of unnecessary warnings.
