no error message

Hi, i have install geeklog 2 other times and have had no problem, following the instructions was easy enough, but on my third installation i am having something odd happen to me.

I should first point out, i am running off of IIS. My PHP version is well above the required and i have MySQL.

I've given full permissions to IUSR for all required files and folders. and i am using my root user for MySQL, so there should be no problem there.

I can get to the screen where i enter in my database information, but after submit it goes to a blank screen, my database doesnt get filled, my db-config.php doesnt get changed.

I am pretty familiar with php so i know that a blank screen is usually the result of a unhandled error. It just stops executing.
So anyways, i was wondering, does anyone have any idea about this?

I tried using a try catch around the entire thing, i then started getting another error that i decided not to get into. I could also trace it with a echo 'hi'; but again, i would rather just see if this is a common problem heh.

Thanks,
kyle

You could try cranking up the error reporting in your php.ini file and/or change the error_reporting line in the install script to a error_reporting(E_ALL);

bye, Dirk
