Just installed 1.5.1 with cPanel through my host, and then upgraded to 1.6.0rc2 based on the instructions found in
geeklog-1.6.0rc2.tar/geeklog-1.6.0rc2/geeklog-1.6.0rc2/public_html/docs/english/install.html#upgrade
Clicking on the Configuration link, i get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: com_getlanguagename() in /home/teach42/public_html/system/classes/config.class.php on line 921"
Clicking on the plugins link, i get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: plugin_get_pluginname() in /home/teach42/public_html/system/lib-admin.php on line 1044"
The events section gives me "Error in PHP Block. Function, phpblock_calendar, does not exist."
The geeklog.rss gives a warning "This page contains the following errors:
error on line 13 at column 25: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined"
DBBackups throws a "Incorrect path, security restriction in effect or mysqldump utility not executable.
Check mysqldump_path definition in the Configuration.
Check open_basedir settings in PHP.
Path currently defined as: /usr/bin/mysqldump"
Any ideas on what went sidewards?

Sounds like some of the files are not up to date. Make sure you really uploaded all of the new files.
bye, Dirk

I grabbed the db-config.php and siteconfig.php files from www/ and brought them locally to my machine..
Ok, I just copied the following:
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/backups to www/backups
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/data to www/data
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/language to www/language
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/logs to www/logs
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/plugins to www/plugins
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/public_html to www/public_html
(i also copied geeklog-1.6.0rc2/public_html to sitename.com/public_html/)
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/sql to www/sql
geeklog-1.6.0rc2/system to www/system
The only errors I'm getting now is the ""Error in PHP Block. Function, phpblock_calendar, does not exist." in the Event section and
the DB backup, but i think i should be able to fix the db backup error.
One new item is that the configuration menu only has 2 items now:
XMLSitemap
Admin Home
I thought it had at least 5 prior to the upgrade..
Cant wait to try out the upload plugin feature..

I'd suggest you restore your database backup and run the upgrade one more time. The incomplete / missing files you seem to have had previously may have prevented the upgrade from running properly, which would also explain the missing entries in the Configuration.
