SPAMX Filtering

I know I can turn off SPAMX filtering for Admins, what I would like to do is turn it off for other user groups (like my Writers group). From what I can see this is not possible...
I have a few members who regularly contribute to one of my sites. I don't really want to give them admin control of the SPAM X plugin but I would like the ability to turn off the spam filtering of their submissions since I trust them much more than regular posts from guests.

That option is a bit like the "skip HTML filter for Root" option: A quick fix that doesn't really fit with the rest of Geeklog's permission system ...

I was thinking more along the lines of adding a new right called spamx.skip to the spamx plugin. That way I could add the right to the usergroup and have those users posts skipped by the spamx plugin.
