Mediagallery : Can't creat new album

I could not create new album on top page . drop down list shows only [add media] nothing any more . Could anyone give me an advice to solve this ?
I tried MG1.5 + GL1.4 and MG1.6+GL1.6 , both same.

Maybe you are not a mediagallery admin?
Could you check your rights :
Mediagallery Admin Users in this group can administer the mediagallery plugin
Mediagallery Config Users in this group can configure the mediagallery plugin
