I was trying to post a story that includes a linux command-line with double-dash option.
For example:
/usr/bin/somecommand --option
It seems that the double dash is messing up the story display even if story format is Plain Text.
To re-produce, make a new story with this as the Intro Text:
Some text line 1.
Some text line 2.
Some text will follow with a double-dashed option.
/usr/bin/somecommand --doubledash
Some text last line.
What I see is "Some text last line" is displayed at the top of the story text!
Similar things happen if I change the story format to wiki-style or HTML and try to embed a double-dash in code tags... the double dash is messing something up.
Is it possible to show double-dashes in story Intro/Body? How?
Even better if you can show how to make the double-dashed part show up in monotype font.
Thanks!

I see that some people have viewed this but no replies.
It would be great if someone else could try to reproduce this "double-dash bug" and make sure it is not just something specific to my server.
Just make a new story and include the text I posted above.
Thanks very much!

Thanks, good idea to try the demo site!
The demo site is running 1.6.0.
I am running 1.6.0sr2.
Could someone test this with the latest GL (or maybe the demo site will be updated soon)?
Thanks very much!

I think I have a theme issue.
I switched back to professional and my double-dash story looks just fine.
Thanks for the feedback and the testing everyone!

Here's the story with the broken output (I have not had a chance to look at my theme yet):

My theme includes modifications to the story body, so there is a very good chance my customizations are the cause.
Thanks, I'll try...

Sounds more like a font issue.
Btw, as per your first post: For monospaced text, try the <tt>, <code>, or <kbd> HTML tags, depending on context.
bye, Dirk
Thanks, I'll try...

Fixed. Problem caused by me commenting out some stuff in storytext.thtml. When I deleted the lines instead of just commenting them out, all is well.
