I wish to create a site about Trees.

The blog part of the site would hopefully be a prepared form of tree information. For example Name, Family, Leaf Type, Flower etc etc
This could only be edited / created by an administrator or approved user.

Pictures could be added by anyone and each picture would have a caption up to a 1000 characters.

Anyone could leave comments, but admistrator's could edit or delete comments.

Searching would be text based for any part of a field in the blog part, picture caption or comment.

My host has geeklog as an available application, but I am not sure which version. My knowledge of PHP is very minimal and I really do not want to mess with anything other than a bit of HTML for logos, colours etc.

I can back up /download the mysql part of the database, but where would all the pictures go and would they be secure from people data scraping the whole directories, where they are located.

Is Geeklog a possibility.
