apostrophe on email address

I sent an email and it was never received because an apostrophe automatically appeared at the beginning and at the end of the email address, why that happened? and how do I do to stop that from happening?

More information, please. How did you send that email (from where in Geeklog?). And what makes you think that something was added to the address?
