plugin install

i have sucessfully install geeklog 1.6 and im trying to install certain plugin but there when i go to plugin directory there is no button to upload the zip file, so i manually upload to admin/plugin/glmenu
and when i extract and refresh there is no glmenu plugin on the site
plese help, thank you

The plugin upload requires write access to the plugins/, public_html/, and public_html/admin/plugins/ directories. If those are not writable, the option doesn't show up.

i have already change the permission to 777 for /admin/plugins

With a normal install your sitemap.xml file should be in /home/intellco/public_html/ Confused:

Why don't you try geeklog 1.6.1 as 1.6 is very old now.

hello there is no sitemap.xml in
/home/intellco/public_html/

and also i have searched everywhere in the directories that this sitemap.xml is not exist

by the way i use 1.6.1
please help me, regards

So is the XMLsitemap plugin currently installed? If so, try editing and saving an article. If not, try installing it again. The log file entries indicate that it couldn't write to your public_html directory:

SitemapXML: Cannot write the sitemap file: /home/intellco/public_html/todayfx.info/sitemap.xml

The XMLSitemap plugin will not install if it cannot create the sitemap.xml file.The best thing to do is to create the file /home/intellco/public_html/todayfx.info/sitemap.xml and then make sure your internet server has permissions to write to it.

Then goto your Geeklog website and click on Plugins in the Admin block. Under the New Plugins section you should see the uninstalled XMLSitemap plugin listed. Click install.

You can uninstall and re-install the plugin from the Admin's "Plugins" section. Since the XMLSitemap plugin doesn't really store any data (other than some config data), you can do that multiple times, if necessary.

here is the print screen what im trying to do here is to install paypal plugin but there is no paypal plugin although i have uplodaded it to admin/plugin directory and everytime i click to install the XMLSitemap a message appear on top saying that An error occured while attempting to install the plugin. I think your hosting do not allow geeklog automatic install, so you must do a manual install for the paypal plugin.
