Autotags External Link Question
Michael
Anonymous
Just trying autotags for the first time today. If I'm trying to link to an external url, isn't just as simple as
[link:http://www.google.com Google]
?
I'm trying that.. it shows the link and the link text, but clicking it is producing the hyperlink:
http://www.mydomain.com/links/portal.php/link/http://www.google.com
...and the following error is produced on that page: URL Class: number of names passed to setArgNames must be equal or greater than number of arguments found in URL
Text Formatted Code
[link:http://www.google.com Google]

Like all autotags, the link: autotag expects an ID as the parameter after the colon. In this case, the ID of a link from the links plugin, e.g. 20000910204726606
(I was going to demonstrate it here but it doesn't seem to work in the forum, which irritates me - to be investigated)
The error message could be nicer, though. That's effectively part of a known issue.
bye, Dirk

I had a similar issue a few years ago with an autotag I created. The fix for me was to disable "Make URLs clickable?" under Miscellaneous in the Geeklog Configuration Admin Panel.
