I've made an ALPHA version of the "Translate" plugin and put a live DEMO version here:
http://placella.com/geeklog/public_html/

The settings on the demo server are as follows:

• Anonymous users can edit: False
  
• Logged-in users allowed to add new languages: True
  
• Use Google Translate: True
  

I've added Geeklog core and a few plugins for you to experiment with

If you want to try out the admin interface, create an account and the email me your username, so that I can add you to the relevant admin group.
