hi,

i really need help. I don't know how it got there, because it wasn't there a little while ago, but for some reason the - Docs - folder ended up in Backend.

I'm working on creating an rss feed and when i use filezilla to try to create and upload a file I see - Docs - (a short while ago there was a file txt. called geeklog.rss - i messed up somehow and my hosting service managed to get me going again, but now there's no "geeklog.rss" it magically turned into "windows live mail" it's still called geeklog, but when you click on it it open up windows mail)

Priority ONE: Where does the Docs folder go?

Priority TWO: Any idea how the geeklog.rss text file got turned into a windows live mail link? More important HOW do I fix it?

thanks for any help you can give me!

In a standard Geeklog setup the docs folder goes into the public_html folder.

Clicking on a rss file through the windows file explorer (at least in Windows 7) will automatically load Windows Mail since that is the default file association for *.rss. You could change this if you want by right clicking and selecting the "open with" option. I don't think you really have a problem here though. Create a URL link to the same rss file on your website (ie http://www.yoursite.com/backend/geeklog.rss) and then try clicking it through your internet browser and everything should work as you thought.
