Hi I have 630 users and I just sent mail to all users and only 178 email were sent
"Successfully sent 178 messages and unsuccessfully sent 0 messages. If you need them, the details of each message attempts is below. Otherwise you can Send another message or you can go back to the administration page."
Looking through my list of users quiet a lot of users are marked as (never, registered 15/11/09) *note the dates are different for different users.
Can you tell me if the unregistered users are the ones that did not receive the email and if so how do I include them in the email I want to send.
From the mail admin page I chose "Logged-in Users"
I need to send email to all users because of a legal issue.
Thankyou

This utility will only send emails to users who are in state "active", i.e. have at least logged in once and have not been banned.
Since you mention legal reasons: Please note that, in theory, you can register an account for someone else. A password is then sent to the email address on record, but if they choose to ignore it, that's the last email they would get from the site. Sending them another email could be considered spam by some. So I think it makes sense not to offer this functionality in Geeklog itself.
Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer and things may be different in other countries.
Technically, you could export a list of all email adresses from the database (e.g. using phpMyAdmin) and send an email to all those users via other means.
bye, Dirk
