impossible to save a slogan

Hi everyone,
I'm a Geeklog newbie.
I want to use a slogan for my website, but when I hit "save", it disappears from the "slogan" field.
An idea on how to circumvene this issue?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Config:
Geeklog 2.0.0
PHP 5.4
MySQL 5.5
Website: http://cadrezen.com

Yes I did.
I even tried a single word (I used slogan as a slogan!! Even tried the secure cms as a test)
I insert my slogan in the field located on the Admin/Configuration page.
I hit "Save changes"
Then the slogan field is empty...

Can you update the other configuration options on the same page?
Yes. Everything else seems to work fine.
I'm puzzled...

That is really weird especially for a new install.
UPDATE `gl_conf_values` SET `value` = 's:27:"Another Nifty Geeklog Site.";' WHERE `gl_conf_values`.`name` = 'site_slogan'
Do you know how to update the database records directly? If so you could update the config slogan like so and see if that fixes things.

It worked!
I managed to understand how to update that record.
The weird stuff: the record was not empty... But it started with "s:26" instead of "s:27".
Don't know what that means and if this is important...
Laugh, thank you very much for your help.
